Dick's Sporting Goods

GAP is pleased to work with Dick’s Sporting Goods to benefit the Pop Warner Football and Cheer program for the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department. The partnership has helped to supply teams with equipment and offer participants discounts to help complete their uniform requirements for the season.

Gainesville Woman's Club

The Gainesville Woman's Club teamed up with GAP to help raise funds to renovate the Northeast 31st Avenue Park. The club has hosted a dinner theater, The Heroes of Bent Fork Bluff, in March. The club has continued to support GAP in funding the needed improvements.

National Flag Football

National Flag Football has sponsored 20 scholarships for participants in the Foundations Academy After-School program. The scholarship is to help those who qualify for Free and Reduced Fee Lunch according to the School Board of Alachua County. The league started in the spring of 2017 as a partner with the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department.

Rotary Foundation

The GAP Foundation is delighted to partner with the Rotary Clubs of Gainesville Foundation for an exciting new project. The Rotary Foundation will sponsor improvements to Northside Park which is located at NW 34th street and adjacent to the Senior Center. This project, The Rotary Generations Play Zone, will feature bocce/pétanque courts, horseshoes, pickleball/tennis courts, table games, an outdoor patio, a large pavilion with grills, racquetball court improvements, and a new outdoor fitness trail! These renovations and additions will create a multi-generational public park that promotes healthy, active recreational opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
